London’s Younghusband have returned from a four year silence with their warming new single ‘Translation’. The lead track from the trio’s third album Swimmers was written, recorded and produced by band leader Euan Hinshelwood at his Greenwich studio. Achieving a loose, laid-back vibe, 'Translation' glimmers with subtle synthesizers, soothing backing vocals and delicately intertwined guitar parts that support Hinshelwood's effortless vocal melodies. Describing the recording process Hinshelwood explained, "I didn't play the songs to the guys before. For the majority of the record the band had only heard the songs on the day of recording them. We then went over the top of those bare bones but at the core of it I wanted to get something loose and gritty." Swimmers will arrive via Opposite Number on the 7th of June. -Holly Mullineaux
